Fatima grew up in Nigeria, West Africa, and was passionate about movement and fitness from a young age. She began practicing yoga in 2002 and has been teaching Vinyasa, Forrest, and Restorative yoga since 2010. She earned her degree at Temple University and received her yoga teaching certification in Philadelphia.
