Terms of service

Last updated 8 September 2026

Please read carefully. These terms include a release of liability and assumption of risk, a medical disclaimer, and a binding arbitration agreement with a class action and jury trial waiver. They affect your legal rights.

1. Who we are and what this is

YogaConnect ("YogaConnect", "we", "us") operates the yogaconnect.com website, apps and related services (the "Platform"). These Terms of Service, together with the documents linked in our legal centre, form a binding agreement between you and YogaConnect. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

YogaConnect is a marketplace and publishing platform. Studios, teachers, practitioners and training providers ("Providers") are independent third parties. They are not our employees, agents, partners or joint venturers. We do not supervise, direct, control, license, insure or certify Providers, their premises, their staff or their instruction.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 to hold an account. Bookings for a minor must be made by their parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms — including the release and medical disclaimer — on the minor's behalf and their own.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for everything done under your login. Keep your credentials confidential and tell us promptly at legal@yogaconnect.com if you suspect unauthorised use.

3. Bookings are between you and the Provider

When you book a class, workshop, retreat, private session or training, the contract for that service is between you and the Provider. We pass on your request, handle the payment flow where the Provider uses us for payments, and keep the record. The Provider sets the schedule, the price, the cancellation window, the level, the venue, the safety rules and any insurance.

Providers may cancel, reschedule or refuse entry. Where a Provider does not deliver a booked service, your remedy is against the Provider; we will help where we reasonably can and will process a refund of amounts we actually collected in line with our refunds policy.

4. Online classes, trainings and AI features

Some practices, courses, teacher trainings and live sessions are delivered through the Platform, including sessions guided by Emily, our AI instructor. AI-generated sequences, suggestions, reading lists, cues and answers are produced automatically, may be wrong or incomplete, and are general information only. They are not personalised instruction, diagnosis, treatment or professional advice. Always use your own judgement, and stop if anything hurts.

Certificates, hour logs and progress records issued through the Platform reflect what was recorded on the Platform. They are not, on their own, a professional licence, a government-recognised qualification, or a guarantee of registration with any yoga alliance or governing body. Recognition is decided by that body and by the Provider running the training.

5. Payments, subscriptions and taxes

Payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card details. Prices shown include or exclude tax as stated at checkout; you are responsible for any tax we are required to collect.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval shown until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account, effective at the end of the current billing period. See refunds and cancellations.

Where you sell through YogaConnect as a Provider, you authorise us to collect payment on your behalf, deduct disclosed fees, and remit the balance. You are solely responsible for your own tax, licensing, insurance, qualifications, employment obligations and consumer law compliance.

6. Your content and the licence you give us

You keep ownership of the text, photos, video, audio, recordings, reviews and listings you upload. You grant YogaConnect a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting, transcribe, translate, and display that content for the purpose of operating, securing, and promoting the Platform. This licence ends for future use when you delete the content, except for copies retained in backups, legal records, or where another user has already lawfully saved it.

You warrant that you own or are licensed to share everything you upload, that it does not infringe anyone's rights, and that you have the consent of every identifiable person shown — including for recorded live classes. Participation in a recorded live session may capture your name, camera and voice; if you do not consent, do not join, or join with camera and microphone off.

7. Reviews, listings and claiming a business

Reviews must reflect genuine first-hand experience. Providers may claim their listing and must be authorised to do so. We may edit, refuse, reorder or remove any listing, review or content, and may suspend accounts, at our discretion — for example where content is unlawful, deceptive, unsafe, infringing, or violates our acceptable use policy.

8. Health, safety and assumption of risk

Yoga, breathwork, inversions, heated practice, sound healing and related activity carry inherent risks of injury. By using the Platform and by practising, you accept the medical disclaimer and the assumption of risk and release, both incorporated into these terms by reference.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Platform, all content, and all Provider information are supplied "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, YogaConnect disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy and quiet enjoyment. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that listings, schedules, credentials or prices are accurate, or that any practice will produce any particular result.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, YogaConnect and its officers, employees and suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or personal injury arising from the acts or omissions of a Provider or another user.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Platform in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to YogaConnect in that period and (b) USD 100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. In those cases our liability is limited to the minimum permitted by law.

11. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold harmless YogaConnect against claims, damages, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your use of the Platform, your content, your breach of these terms, your violation of law, or — if you are a Provider — the services you deliver and any injury connected with them.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, with or without notice, where we reasonably believe there is a breach, risk to other users, fraud, or a legal requirement. Sections that by their nature should survive — content licence, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and dispute resolution — survive termination.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new date and, where the change is significant, notified by email or in-product. Continuing to use the Platform after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where the mandatory law of your home country applies. Disputes are resolved under our arbitration agreement and class action waiver, which includes a 30-day opt-out.

15. General

If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale of assets. These terms, with the documents in the legal centre, are the entire agreement between us.

Notices to us: legal@yogaconnect.com.

These terms are provided for general information and are not legal advice. Nothing here removes rights you have under the mandatory consumer law of the place you live.
