About Z.
I am a yoga and meditation teacher with more than 1,000 hours of accredited yoga teacher training, much of which I completed in India. My training spans Hatha, yin, restorative, Kundalini, and trauma-informed yoga alongside meditation, breathwork, and other mind-body practices. I approach yoga as an opportunity to become curious about the body rather than a pursuit of the perfect pose. Bodies, abilities, histories, nervous systems, and needs differ, so I believe the practice should adapt to the person. I encourage choice, experimentation, rest, modification, and attention to what feels useful in the moment. My teaching is also shaped by more than 15 years of experience in massage therapy and bodywork as well as extensive education in complementary and alternative medicine. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, which brings another perspective on trauma, stress, chronic illness and pain, emotional well-being, and the relationship between mind and body. I teach yoga and meditation through classes, workshops, trainings, and retreats. I have also taught within Yoga Alliance yoga teacher training and developed original educational modules exploring complementary and alternative medicine, evidence-based interventions, and energy work. Whether someone comes to yoga for movement, relaxation, meditation, self-exploration, or simply a different relationship with their body, I want the practice to leave room for them to discover what yoga can mean in their own life.
