Goal
Undo a morning at a screen

The problem with sitting is stillness, not posture. Three short breaks beat one long stretch after work.

Before you start

  • Set reminders for 11am, 2pm and 4pm.
  • Raise your screen so the top line of text is at eye level.
  • Stand for one call a day.

The sequence

  1. Hands on knees, round and open the chest with the breath.

  2. Turn from the mid-back; the neck follows last.

  3. Sit bones stay even on the chair.

  4. Use a belt or scarf between the hands if they do not meet.

  5. Second side, ribs staying down.

  6. Soft knees, head heavy, let the neck go.

  7. Roll up, reach overhead, one big breath before you sit down.

Practise it with a teacher

Sequences are a good start; a teacher watching you is better. Find a class that matches this one.
